Connected infrastructure engineered for speed and resilience.
The KENAIO (科脑) X99H DDR4 is a cost-effective LGA2011-3 desktop motherboard designed for compatible Intel Xeon E5 V3/V4 processors and DDR4 memory. It provides an affordable platform for building high-core-count desktop computers, workstations, gaming systems, virtualization machines and multi-instance computing PCs.
The X99H platform combines support for economical Intel Xeon E5 processors with DDR4 memory, PCI Express graphics expansion, M.2 solid-state storage and SATA connectivity, making it a practical choice for users building performance-oriented systems from LGA2011-3 hardware.
The motherboard uses the Intel LGA2011-3 processor socket. X99H DDR4 boards of this design are intended for compatible Intel Xeon E5 V3 and V4 processors, including selected E5-1600 V3/V4 and E5-2600 V3/V4 CPUs.
Selected Intel Core i7 Haswell-E and Broadwell-E LGA2011-3 processors may also be supported depending on the exact motherboard revision and BIOS.
The LGA2011-3 platform provides access to a wide selection of Intel Xeon processors with high core and thread counts. This makes the X99H particularly attractive for multitasking, virtualization, rendering, workstation applications and running multiple programs or virtual environments simultaneously.
The commonly documented X99H DDR4 configuration provides four DDR4 DIMM slots. Available documentation for this board family specifies support for DDR4 2133MHz, 2400MHz and 2666MHz memory, with actual operating speed determined by the processor, BIOS and installed memory.
Common X99H DDR4 specifications list a maximum memory capacity of up to 128GB using four compatible DDR4 DIMMs. This provides substantial memory capacity for workstation, virtualization and multi-tasking applications.
Many Xeon-oriented LGA2011-3 X99H boards are designed to operate with compatible DDR4 ECC server memory. Actual ECC/RDIMM compatibility depends on the CPU, BIOS and motherboard revision, so memory compatibility should be confirmed before purchasing a complete configuration.
The X99H platform includes an M.2 storage interface on commonly available versions, allowing installation of compatible M.2 solid state drives. Documented versions provide PCIe/NVMe capability, giving users access to faster storage than conventional SATA hard drives.
A full-size PCI Express x16 slot is provided for installation of a compatible discrete graphics card. This allows the motherboard to be configured for gaming, GPU-accelerated applications, workstation graphics or general desktop use.
An additional PCI Express x1 expansion slot is provided on commonly documented X99H layouts for compatible network adapters, sound cards, USB expansion cards and other PCIe devices.
The motherboard provides SATA connectivity for conventional 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA SSDs and HDDs. Common X99H documentation lists a combination of SATA 3.0 and SATA 2.0 interfaces; the exact number and speed of SATA ports should be verified against the physical board revision supplied.
An onboard RJ45 Ethernet interface allows the motherboard to connect directly to a wired network without requiring a separate network adapter. Exact Ethernet controller specifications can vary between board revisions.
Onboard audio provides basic desktop sound functionality for speakers, headphones and microphones, reducing the need for a separate sound card in general-purpose systems.
The term “X99H” is used for several Chinese-manufactured LGA2011-3 motherboard revisions. Although these motherboards are marketed as X99 platforms, some X99H versions use repurposed Intel 8-series PCH chipsets such as H81/B85 rather than Intel's original X99 PCH.
For this reason, the motherboard should be selected according to its actual socket, BIOS, memory support, storage interfaces and expansion features rather than assuming that every feature of an original Intel X99 chipset motherboard is available.
