Product overview
The MAX485 is a 5V low-power half-duplex RS-485/RS-422 transceiver with one driver and one receiver. It supports data rates up to 2.5 Mbps and includes current-limited driver outputs, thermal shutdown and open-circuit fail-safe receiver behavior. Suitable for industrial communication, control systems, instrumentation and long-distance serial networks. Supplied in an 8-pin DIP package.
