The onsemi NCP1075P065G is a high-voltage offline switching regulator designed for low-power AC-DC switch-mode power supplies (SMPS). It integrates a fixed-frequency current-mode controller and a high-voltage 700V power MOSFET into a compact PDIP-7 through-hole package.
The NCP1075P065G operates at a nominal switching frequency of 65kHz and provides a 450mA peak current set point. Its high level of integration makes it suitable for flyback converters, auxiliary power supplies, appliance control boards, industrial electronics and compact offline power-supply designs.
The NCP1075 incorporates a 700V high-voltage MOSFET directly into the switching regulator. This reduces the requirement for a separate external primary switching MOSFET and helps simplify compact offline power-supply designs.
The P065 version operates at a fixed nominal switching frequency of 65kHz. The NCP107x architecture also incorporates frequency jittering and frequency-foldback techniques to help improve EMI performance and light-load efficiency.
The NCP1075 has a 450mA peak-current set point. This distinguishes it from other members of the NCP107x family with different current capabilities.
The device uses fixed-frequency current-mode control, providing cycle-by-cycle management of the primary switching current and making it particularly suitable for offline flyback power converters.
Dynamic Self-Supply circuitry allows the controller to start and operate without requiring an auxiliary transformer winding in appropriate designs. An auxiliary winding can also be used to improve standby power performance.
The NCP107x family incorporates skip-cycle operation and frequency foldback at light loads. With an appropriate auxiliary-winding implementation, the architecture is designed to achieve very low no-load input consumption.
The NCP1075 includes multiple protection features designed to improve power-supply reliability under abnormal operating conditions.

Important: Although NCP1075P065G and NCP1076P065G share the same 65kHz frequency and PDIP-7 package, their MOSFET on-resistance and peak-current specifications are different. They should therefore not automatically be treated as direct substitutes without checking the original power-supply design.
