Supermicro SYS-2028TP is a high-density 2U rack server that integrates
four independent dual-socket nodes in a single chassis, delivering exceptional

applications. Each hot-pluggable node provides powerful dual Intel® Xeon® E5-2600
v3/v4 processors, large memory capacity, flexible storage, and remote management,

Each node supports
dual Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v3/v4 CPUs (up to 145 W TDP),
providing the core count and performance needed for data-intensive and
multi-tenant workloads. A robust Intel C612 chipset and PCIe 3.0 expansion
options further enhance throughput and connectivity.
Large Memory Capacity
Every node features
16 DDR4 DIMM slots, supporting up to
2 TB DDR4 ECC 3DS LRDIMM (or up to 512 GB ECC RDIMM). This high memory
capacity and bandwidth are ideal for virtualization, in-memory databases, and
compute-heavy applications.
Flexible Storage & Hot-Swap Drive Bays
The 2U chassis provides hot-swap storage for each node, allowing maintenance
and upgrades without taking down the entire system:
- Up to 6 hot-swap 2.5" SAS3/SATA3 drives per node (24 total).
- Support for SSD or HDD configurations to balance performance and capacity.
- SAS3 backplane capable of 12 Gb/s connectivity (model dependent).
Networking & Remote Management
Each node includes a dedicated IPMI management port with
IPMI 2.0, KVM-over-LAN, and virtual media, enabling complete out-of-band
management. Data networking is provided via a flexible SIOM / add-on NIC
architecture, allowing deployment of 1GbE, 10GbE or faster options depending on
the selected network module, so you can tailor I/O to your environment.
Efficient Power & Data Center Integration
Dual
2000 W Titanium-rated redundant power supplies deliver high efficiency
and reliability, while heavy-duty PWM fans provide optimal cooling for all four
nodes. Standard 19" rack-mount dimensions and front-serviceable design simplify
integration into existing racks and data center workflows.
