Product overview
The MAX232 is a dual RS-232 driver and receiver IC operating from a single 5V supply. Its integrated charge-pump circuitry generates the required RS-232 voltage levels, allowing easy TTL/CMOS-to-RS-232 conversion. It supports data rates up to 120 kbps and is widely used in computers, embedded systems, industrial controllers and serial communication interfaces. Supplied in a 16-pin DIP package.
